You may upload a link to your article on the Civics Class Blog page. Highlight or Underline (if you print it out for me to have) what powers the Govenor used in this article and label what "hat" it falls under. Remember, we are ONLY focusing on the Govenor/State of Virginia.

1. Which state has the largest number of electors? Why? What is VA's congressional representation and electoral #?
2. Summarize the Winner-Takes-All system. Include when it's important to focus on "smaller" states.
3. Explain the 2000 Presidential Election and how it was possible for one candidate to win the Presidential Election, but
not the popular vote.
4. After watching the Prezi link to the 2012 Election Results, upload a Photostory summary you created with your
group.
5. FINALLY...comment on two other blogs regarding this assignment. Remember what is acceptable!

year you prefer. In your blog, upload the link to each commerical
and create a cartoon summary of these two commercials by using www.toondoo.com . Include a
propaganda technique for each commercial you create (based on our lesson earlier in the year in
English class--glittering generalities, testimonials, cardstacking, name calling, innuendos,
bandwagon, appeal to the prestige or plain folk). You may print it out for you to add to your
Election Portfolio.
You must also peer evaluate at least two other's created commercials by either blogging or
vlogging. If you vlog, you must upload the link to our class blog.
4. After viewing the 2 political cartoons, include in your blog what you think each means. Do they
represent bias? If so, how?
5. After view the www.tweentribune.com website, choose an article from the Election 2012 category.
Read it and create a voki (www.voki.com) summarizing the contents of the article. Upload the link
